The illustration accompanied an op-ed written by Fernando Madrid, titled Don’t Ask the Elm Tree for Pears (or Miracles), which explores political disillusionment through metaphor and irony. My visual response aimed to echo the tone of the article with subtle symbolism and a restrained, reflective approach.
